AIVI does not fetch holiday calendars automatically — parents import holiday data once. Once imported, marked dates participate in scheduling as public holidays or make-up workdays.
Open Holiday management
Windows client: Settings → Time Management → Holiday management. Web: Dashboard → Settings → Time Management → Holiday management.
Four ways to add dates
| Method | Use for | How |
|---|---|---|
| Quick summer vacation | Create a summer vacation range in one click | Click Quick summer and enter MM-DD to MM-DD (e.g. 07-01 to 08-31) |
| Quick winter vacation | Create a winter range that crosses the year | Click Quick winter and enter 12-30 to 01-10 (an end earlier than the start rolls over to next year) |
| Public import | Bulk import the current year's national holiday arrangement | Click Public import to fetch the year's national holidays online |
| Official import | Import special holiday and make-up workday arrangements | Click Official import to fetch official make-up workday data |
Add a single date manually
- Click Add date to open Edit special control date.
- Date: enter YYYY-MM-DD, e.g. 2026-07-01.
- Override day type: choose Public holiday or Make-up workday.
- Description: required, e.g. “summer vacation” or “final exams”. It is shown on the lock screen and in today's plan.
Two tips for vacation scheduling
- Mark holidays first, then add slots: after marking dates as public holidays, add holiday-type slots for the matching weekdays in By-weekday mode; in Weekday & rest-day mode holidays automatically fold into the rest-day template.
- Use descriptions as phases, e.g. “early summer” or “back-to-school wind-down”, so the child sees which phase today belongs to right on the lock screen.
